Customer Reviews

"Super endroit, tout droit sorti des annees 1950, la nourriture est excellente et l'accueil tres sympathique, si vous passez pas loin il faut s'arreter faire un petit break."

"Don't drive by this place! Great food! (The Bay scallops were exceptional!) Great service! Unique ambience. Seriously, you may be tempted to judge a book by its cover here. Don't!"

"We found this place on Rte. 13 when we drove up to NJ. Interesting place, if you want to visit nostalgic old dinner. But honestly speaking, foods were so-so for me and wife. My wife had "Texas toast" but it was "French Toast" actually. Fries were good, though. I order ham and cheese omelet and it was good. But the toasts came with margarine already speeded on it. I prefer butter, real butter... I noticed that the water tasted bad, I assume the tap water in the area is not good. They should filter the water. The coffee does not taste good because of the water. Sorry for not writing positive comments."

"Sometimes early in the evening, when all other options are exhausted, and when the chicken in the freezer is freezer burnt, we load up the family truckster and head into town for a big night out. The Diner has all sorts of varieties of local delights, and you typically don't have to wait any longer than 15 minutes to be seated. If you are looking for a proper Southern greasy spoon with charm, stop in and ask for Alice. Try the sand dabs."

"Can't judge a book by its cover, and this is particularly true of this little gem. This is some of the best Chesapeake Bay local dining around Delmarva Penninsula, very reasonably priced. Let's just say, they cook for their customers as if they were their own family! Everything was fresh and generous. The fried oysters were amazingly light and crispy, really the best I have ever had. The clam fritters were different than expected, like two big pancakes, full of fresh clams. The crab cakes were large palm sized, crispy outside and mostly all crab with very little filler to hold them together. There was a large selection of sides, a lot more than one the menu and every one of the sides we got were generous helpinga, freshly made and delicious. We even opted for dessert of coconut Smith Island cake, a multi layered cake with cream cheese icing, moist and again, generous portions. We were just passing by and happened to get there Just before noon. By noon the little diner was packed with a line of people waiting. The locals most likely as this is not typically a spot Travellers would veer off to. I can confidently say that on this day, 10-5-25 we are glad we took the chance and stopped here. This is exactly what we hope to find, off the beaten path and into the best of the locals cuisine."

"Definition of small town diner. Cozy atmosphere, great prices, good food. Always busy but the staff still manages to get everyone served in a reasonable time. Highly recommend stopping here if you get the chance."

"Traveling home to PA from NC and on route we passed a sign for the Exmore Diner, and being hungry we stopped, wow huge surprise. The building is a cute little silver metal diner, with 6 booths and a large bar to eat at, amazingly vintage. We were greeted immediately with such charm and kindness it blew me away. My partner and I both ordered the Grilled Cheese with Fries. Fantastic food and the fries were very fresh and very hot! Amazing wait staff and good food. Checks all the boxes."
